We’ve been noticing lots of plain, brightly coloured chiffon shirts kicking around. On Sunday night we were at the Independent Runway after-party at L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival and spotted some with strategic keyholes in the seams across the collarbones and in the back. This effect could be easy to achieve via op-shops and seam rippers.
There is even a nice range of plain chiffon shirts at Kmart right now.
This is pretty old now – hipster plimsolls were more of a thing four or five years ago – but this is a cute retro look, and they are still very cheap in Kmart and Big Dubs so it doesn’t really matter if you fuck up. We also wonder if it’d be worth colouring in the rubber sole as well.
Several years after graduation, City Mouse got a message on Facebook from her best friend from high school, Country Mouse (who actually lived in a suburb). More out of a sense of obligation than anything else, City Mouse friended her.
When City Mouse was back in her hometown to visit her…
Not sure which is the least alluring lifestyle. City Mouse’s visit to Country Mouse reminds us of Charlize Theron in Young Adult.
Sometimes we will see people out at night in skimpy outfits without jackets. Dudes in T-shirts. Chickybabes in strapless mini-dresses. Yeah, we get that it might be annoying to have to hang onto your coat all night, but it is never uncool to dress for the weather. It is uncool, however, to look like a drunken bozo wearing a ‘beer jacket’. File this under “chicks who make their boyfriends carry their purses”.
