DIY bike reflector
Attach an old CD to your bike.
This is one of the more ‘hipster ghetto’ tips we’ve offered. Someone we follow on Twitter saw a bike like this - not sure if it actually works.
To make a coloured reflector, you could colour in the CD with a highlighter or other non-opaque marker.

If you like someone’s dress, or their hair, or their shoes, or their jewellery, or their bag, or whatever… tell them so. It costs you nothing, and if you’re sincere about it they will not feel weird about it, like you want something from them. Instead they will feel nice, which is the point of compliments.
