As well as warding off the scurvy that lies in wait for busy hipsters who subsist on toast, instant noodles and coffee, bottled lemon juice makes things taste fancy!
Squeeze a little into a glass of water – just enough to make it cloudy – for a zingy flavour.
Add some to regular lemonade to make it into that much more delicious ‘home-style lemonade’ or (if you want to get continental) ‘limonata’.
Drizzle it over canned tuna for extra flavour. Liberally grind some pepper on top for ‘lemon and pepper’ flavour.
Put it in salad dressings and marinades.
When you’re feeling poorly, add it liberally to hot water and stir in some honey and minced ginger to make a comforting hot drink.
It lasts heaps longer than actual lemons. Keep it in the fridge. Best investment!
